Overview
The BA (Hons) Accountancy course equips you with the relevant, contemporary skills and knowledge to approach a career in accountancy with real confidence.
Focusing on the real-world challenges of this fascinating business discipline, the course not only develops your competence in professional accountancy, it also increases your commercial awareness, and enhances your communication and interpersonal skills.
You have the chance to gain optimised exemptions from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) professional body examinations and some exemptions from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualifications.
The BA (Hons) Accountancy and BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance share a common first year. It may therefore be possible to transfer from one course to another at the end of the year (depending on space on the course) to ensure the maximum volume of optimised exemptions if you progress into postgraduate accountancy studies.
